Andrew Lopinot has been the St. Clair County Treasurer since 2018. He is passionate about public service and helping his community.

Prior to being elected as the St. Clair County Treasurer in 2018, Andrew served as the Chief Deputy Treasurer in the office. He also previously represented his neighbors and community as an Alderman for the City of O'Fallon.

Andrew grew up in St. Clair County and attended Whiteside, Wolf Branch, and Belleville East High School. He completed his Master’s in Public Administration at SIUE and Master’s in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel at Kent State University. He formerly worked in university housing at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and in academic advising at SIUE. 

Andrew strives to affect positive change as a local government administrator through establishing fiscally responsible budgets, creating strategic goals, effectively supervising staff, and maintaining a positive relationship with the citizens he interacts with on a daily basis.

Andrew is a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues, and currently serves as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois.
