Closures on Jefferson Road


On August 12, 2019 the County Department of Roads and Bridges will begin miscellaneous repairs to Jefferson Road. Flaggers will be on site. Delays and intermittent lane closures are anticipated.

Notice of Upcoming Concrete Pour

Frank Scott Parkway between Route 159 and Old Collinsville Rd

Contingent upon weather cooperating, Wednesday, June 19th, will be the first of several concrete pours to widen Frank Scott Parkway to 5 lanes. If you’ve driven past the project lately you’ve seen a huge transformation. All the demolition is complete along with Soil Modification, Base Rock and tie bar installation. Soon the paving mesh and other steel components will be placed. To minimize the traffic impact and expedite completion, Baxmeyer Construction Inc. will pave the 2 additional lanes and the curb and gutter all in one pass. On the day of the pour the west bound lane will be closed completely. Only one lane will be used for through traffic. Flagmen will be present, please slow down and exercise caution in these areas. Expect long delays, possibly 15 minutes in duration. We ask that you begin to drive an alternate route for the entire week of June 17 in preparation for Wednesday’s closure.

Hartman Lane Construction

The developer will be starting work on Hartman Lane north of Frank Scott Parkway on Monday October 29. Lane restrictions are part of the project. Expect delays while work is underway.


Bridge Weight Restriction

Please be advised that St Clair County Highway Department has Posted Please be advised that St Clair County Highway Department has Posted Imbs Station Road over Prairie DuPont Creek with a 15-Ton Allowable Weight Limit restriction.

Road Construction

The traffic control installation for the Frank Scott Widening Project from 159 to Old Collinsville Road will begin Monday 7-16-2018 weather permitting. This will be a continuing construction project. Congestion should be anticipated. Thank you for your patience.
