Pursuant to Public Act 104-0553, the St. Clair County Board, as trustee for all taxing districts, has elected to acquire all delinquent real estate taxes for 2025 payable in 2026 taxes. Delinquent Mobile Home taxes will continue to be offered at the tax sale to private tax buyers under the applicable provisions of Illinois law.
The tax sale this year will be held November 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Tax Buyer Registration Deadline: October 16, 2026 at 4:30pm.
Delinquent tax listings are published in local newspapers throughout the county. A delinquent tax list is available upon request a few weeks before the sale.
A few days after the sale, certificates are issued and payments are due.
Subsequent taxes may be paid in the Collector's Office two weeks after the due date.
