Chairman Kern presented Ms. Joan Menn with a Proclamation recognizing her thirty-eight years of service to St. Clair County in the Auditor’s Office and the Public Building Commission. Ms. Menn thanked Chairman Kern and the County Board for the opportunity to serve. A round of applause and a standing ovation followed. # 7 MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS. The following routine informational reports are by various department heads for you to receive and to have placed on file by voice vote; no other action being necessary: Emergency Management Agency The activities during the month of June 2014 were routine and the report of same will be placed on file in the County Board Office. County Jail The Jailer reports the prisoners for the period from May 21, 2014 through June 24, 2014, an average of 408 prisoners per day. The report of same will be placed on file in the County Board Office. Detention Home The total population of the Detention Home for the period from May 21, 2014 through June 24, 2014 was 550 children, 526 boys and 24 girls. The report of same will be placed on file in the County Board Office. This Miscellaneous Report will become a part of the County Board Meeting Minutes. RESOLUTION NO. _2023-14-RT_ WHEREAS, the County of St. Clair is proposing the improvement of North Green Mount Road, FAU 9170, County Highway 89, beginning at a point approximately 0.06 miles North of Illinois Route 161 and extending North along said County Highway to a point approximately 0.26 miles North of Lebanon Road, a distance of approximately 2.12 miles; and WHEREAS, the Department of Roads and Bridges of the County of St. Clair has recognized the need to expedite this improvement and has made the decision to employ a consulting engineering firm to do the design and prepare the plans for the above proposed road improvement, including surveys, plans, specifications and bidding documents; and WHEREAS, the firm of Horner & Shifrin, Inc. has agreed to perform all the necessary design and preparation of plans as stated hereinbefore, in the lump sum amount of $311,596.76, except for right of way documents, environmental documents, soil surveys, traffic studies, railroad coordination and utility plan locations which will be paid as stipulated in the contract at cost-plus, with an estimated cost of $197,423.75.
