Property & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes June 23, 2014 The meeting was called to order by Chairman June Chartrand at 5:30 p.m. Roll Call was taken showing a quorum as follows: Members Present: Others Present: June Chartrand, Chairman Mikie Wren, SCC Exec. Carondelet Dr. Jones Curtis Chris Rhutasel Smith, Lonnie y Scott Public Mosle Flood, Building Commission Dennis Renner Ted Horn John West Robert Allen, Jr., County Board Member A motion was made by Dr. Jones and seconded by Mrs. Grossman-Roewe to approve the May 19, 2014 Meeting Minutes. Motion passed unanimously. REPORTS Mrs. Wren gave the Revenue Report the total amount received was ($93,947.69). The Property & Recreation Committee received ($46,973.85). We have received a restitution of ($650.00) for damages done to a SCC park. The monthly expenses totaled ($110,956.14) with cash balance on hand ($10,827,504.35). A motion was made by Mr. West and seconded by Dr. Jones to approve the Revenue Report. Motion passed unanimously. Mrs. Wren reported that Mr. Touchette’s report has been passed out. On May 19, 2014 Mr. Isbell reported that there was graffiti on the walls of the men’s restroom at Silver Creek Preserve and he will clean it off. Mr. Isbell advised that the four wheelers are still tearing up the median strip. He also observed that the people cutting the grass are doing a super job. Mike Lowry’s office at Trinity Service reported on June 20, 2014 that the residents are still cleaning up at Silver Creek Preserve on a weekly basis. The recommendations of the SCCPGC was approved at the May 27, 2014 County Board Meeting. Notices of award letters were sent to the grant recipients on June 11, 2014, along with the contract to be completed by July 15, 2014. Also there has been the usual completion of projects and payment of invoices. An invoice from Rhutasel was received for ($6,000.00) a portion of the annual service agreement for 2013 thru 2014 and has been paid. Mr. Chris Smith from Rhutasel reported that he has been able to complete ten days of work. Ms. Chartrand said that the Committee will be put off visiting until the work has been completed maybe around the later part of the year. = Page 1 = A report was given by Mr. Scott Flood from Public Building Commission. The roof has been completed. He received bids for painting and received two bids listed below: Helfrich Painting - ($ 2.00) 13,41 C u l y e s b W e b - - ($ 18,800.00) Mr. Flood said that there are a not a lot of painters that want to paint houses. The Helfrich bid was the lowest bid. Repairs will be made on the house before painting. A motion was made by Mr. West and seconded by Mr. Renner to approve all thereportsgiven and the lowest bid from Helfrich Painting for ($13,412.00) to paint and repair the house on the Engelmann Farm house. Motion passed unanimously. There were no Public Comments made. A motion was made by Dr. Jones and seconded by Mrs. Grossmann-Roewe to adjourn at 5:40 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
