Mr. Hill wants an opportunity to purchase the structure. Mr. Mosley, Jr. addressed the request and advised that he thought it was in the best interest of the community to demolish the structure. Teresa Moore: Ms. Moore advised she was a couple years behind on her taxes but it was not yet Trustee property and was inquiring what she should do to make sure a tax buyer does not buy her taxes. Discussion ensued. Ms. Moore was advised that she would have to deal with the Treasurer's Office on this matter. Mr. Meyer recommended that if at all possible Ms. Moore should try and pay the taxes. No action taken. r. Rudy Prowl Mr. Prowl requested an extension on account #200903533. The property is located at 1931 Trendley Avenue in East St. Louis. The account is delinquent for taxes in the amount of$4,387.57. Motion carried. w. Timothy Toliver by Joe Meyer: Mr. Toliver requested that the property at 637-639 North 24th Street in East St. Louis be removed from the auction sale in November 2013. The City of East St. Louis has tom down the house and the City would like to purchase the property. The properties are both vacant lots. The City will be required to pay $20 a front foot which will total $2,000.00 for both parcels. A motion was made by Mr. Mosley, Jr., seconded by Mr.Crawford, to approve the request. Katherine Dunham Museum Propertvby Joe Meyer: Mr. Meyer advised that the property with the Katherine Dunham property is that it is titled in the name of someone other than the museum and as a result was taxed. Once it it was taxed it became delinquent and the County trustee now has deed to the museum as well as everything else they acquired in the area. Items 270, 271 and 272 in the auction sale are vacant lots not right next door to the museum. Some house have already been sold but the museum is still there. The museum is delinquent in the amount of $5,392.64. The tax bills were mailed to the Katherine DunhainCenter for Arts and Humanity but they are in the name of Janelle Stovall. 4 = Page 5 = Chairman Mosley advised that Ms. Stovall is deceased. Chairman Mosley further advised that they are working on trying to get the matter corrected. Mr. Meyer advised he spoke with Laverne Backstrom. Mr. Meyer recommended that the attorneys for the museum find out why title was put in the name of Janelle Stovall and if it was a mistake or what and then they need to get title out of her name and explain to the Assessor that this was a mistake and should have been exempt. Mr. Meyer advised that he would be glad to work with the attorney for the museum. No action taken. y. Oregon & W. Nicholson Leora by Joe Mever: Oregon & W. Nicholson Leora requested an extension on account th #200904622. The property is located at 793 N. 40 Street in East S1. Louis. The account is delinquent for taxes in the amount of$I,515.08. DEMOLITION PROGRAM: Mike Mitchell, Demolition Coordinator addressed the Trustee Committee. Mr. Mitchell presented an invoice from the News­ Democrat for Advertisement for Bids for demolition in the amount of$350.90 and an invoice from SCI Engineering, Inc. for 25 asbestos reports in the amount of $7,500.00 which was the agreed upon price. A motion was made by Mr. Mosley, Jr., seconded by Mr. Miller, to approve payment of the invoices from News-Democrat in the amount of $350.90 and SCI Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $7,500.00. Motion carried. Mr. Mitchell provided a list of the next demolitions that will be going out for bid for next month. Mr. Mitchell provided a list of all the houses totaling approximately 130. The list is divided into areas for demolition purposes. Mr. Mitchell advised that he having SCI work from the same list by area rather than jumping around. Mr. Mitchell advised that the bid opening will be on Friday, October 25,2013 and will be approved by the Trustee Committee at a Special Meeting on Monday, October 28,2013. Mr. Mosley, Jr. stated that he has received a request from the East St. Louis Fire Department to use some of the structures that are being demolished for training. Mr. Mosley, Jr. advised that the Fire Department going to put together a formal request to is be entertained by the Committee at the next meeting. Mr. Mosley, Jr. advised he has been requested by the City of East St. Louis for a formal request for a reduction of the fees for demolition. Mr. Mitchell advised he would forward a list to the City East of S1. Louis. Mr. Meyer advised that he is concerned about the demolition properties being put in and out of the auction sale. Mr. Meyer advised his office needs to be kept aware something is taken if out of demolition and is to be put back in the auction sale so that he can advise potential buyers correctly. Discussion ensued with comments from Mr. Mosley, Jr.. and Mr. Meyer. Further Mr. Meyer advised that Wells Fargo will need a contact in East S1. Louis for the donation of the property in East S1. Louis. 5. OTHER BUSINESS: Mr. Meyer advised that Chairman Kern received a letter from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and they have foreclosed upon property at 1404 Dr. MR Lemons Blvd in East S1. Louis and they want to donate it to the County of St. Clair. Chairman Kern thought since the property was in East St. Louis it was more appropriate to donate it to the taxing districts of East St. Louis so the sale proceeds could be used for the demolition program. Discussion ensued with comments from Mr. Mosley, Jr. with a request to table the request to next month. Mr. Meyer advised that he was advised by Wells Fargo that it needed an answer by 5 = Page 6 = October 29,2013. Mr. Mosley, Jr. requested that the property go to the City of East St. Louis rather than to the taxing districts. Mr. Mosley, Jr. advised he has discussed this matter with Chairman Kern. Mr. Meyer advised that Wells Fargo will offer the property to the City of East St. Louis the Trustee Committee does not accept it for the taxing districts.
