Treasurer's Department
The Treasurer's Office is responsible for safeguarding, maintaining and investing more than $185 million in County funds.


Our commitment is to provide excellence in public services. The St. Clair County Treasurer’s office exists simply as a resource which enables the public to benefit from the tax dollars they are required to pay.


Our goals include:

Maintaining professional courtesy and integrity;
Having a proactive attitude in raising technical or business related issues;
Insuring that all County money is secure, liquid as needed and invested at a fair market or higher interest rate.
Holding all tax money prior to distribution at fair market or higher interest rates;

Providing more information about real estate tax programs and procedures.

News Delinquent Real Estate Taxes A list of properties with delinquent real estate taxes are available to view. Unclaimed Checks The Treasurer's Department has a number of unclaimed refund checks. Please review the list to see if you or someone you know has unclaimed funds. Real Estate Tax Dates 2010 real estate tax bills will be mailed to property owners early in August, 2011. The first installment due date is September 14, 2011. The second installment due date is November 10, 2011.
