Purchasing & Central Services

The St. Clair County Purchasing and Central Services Department assists all County departments and agencies in conforming with Illinois State Law and the St. Clair County Purchasing Ordinance pertaining to the procurement of goods and services needed to meet the annual operating requirements of each department.

This assistance includes, but is not limited to, the preparation of bid documents, maintenance of an authorized bidder list, public advertisement of bids when required, bid tabulation and ultimate award of the bid to the lowest qualified and responsive bidder.

The Purchasing and Central Services Department strives to effectively and efficiently expend tax dollars and to protect against all elements of fraud and favoritism.

Fleet Services
The centralized garage has mechanics that service, clean and repair all County vehicles. The hours are from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. 

Mailroom/Storeroom
All daily incoming/outgoing mail and requested office supplies are distributed for County. The hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Print Shop
This centralized area is where printing of applications, letters, forms, books, cards and deskpads are requested and printed for County departments. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Microfilm
This centralized area is where County records are filmed, processed, duplicated and checked.  The hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
