| Coroner's Department |
The Coroner’s office serves as the investigative arm of St. Clair County government and assists in determining the manner and cause of death of an unexpected, violent, or criminal nature.
The Coroner’s office responds to and investigates deaths that occur outside a hospital or clinical setting.
